Live camera feeds from my NVR/SDI freezes

Mainstream vs Substream

Using mainstream as the video stream type gives you high-quality video feeds from the cameras. But, it may slow the network connection between your computer and the SDI or NVR system. Main stream video uses a lot of bit rate to stream high definition images to the network and it looks like that network of yours is unable to handle this amount of data. Sub stream video uses less data and so the flow of information between your computer and the security system is much lower. However, live video feed quality is reduced.

If you are using a web browser to access the system, you can change the stream type under the Configuration tab on the top. Select the Local Configuration and change the Stream type from Main Stream to Sub Stream. Then, hit the Save button.

If you are using the software, right click the system on the left side and change the Main Stream to Substream.
