The lens of the camera might need to be adjusted to bring the picture back into focus. To adjust the lens, do the following:
- Remove the hood. Then, unscrew the front part of the camera.
- There is a rubber ring that is on the lens assembly. You need to remove this ring from the lens and put this aside. This ring prevents IR light infiltrating the lens area and causing the view to look foggy/murky. Make sure that you do not lose this rubber ring.
- There will be a locking ring that holds the lens in place. Just loosely unscrew this ring so that you can rotate the lens freely. Slowly twist the lens in the socket and look at the picture on your screen. You may be twisting in the wrong direction if the picture does not improve/get worse. Once you have a focused picture, lock the lens in place by tightening the locking ring. Place the rubber ring back onto the lens assembly and screw on the front camera cover.
