Swann Recorder Push Notifications

A new feature on select Swann recorders (using the HomeSafe View app) allows you to have notifications sent directly to your smartphone from your recorder.  These notifications can be more immediate than the traditional email notifications allowing you to quickly know when activity has occurred at the recorder.  The app also allows you to check directly the action based on selecting any particular notification.

However, the push notifications require you to have specific hardware to utilise.  You must have a push capable recorder (currently 4575 series) and the thermal-sensing cameras (1080MSB).  Only these components will allow push to be used.  The thermal-sensing cameras are capable of much finer motion detection as they can sense heat, and therefore are much more capable at detecting people and ignoring other types of motion than the previous motion detection system.

Thermal-sensing cameras will still operate as a camera on a non-push recorder, but will provide no special features.  Similarly, push-capable recorders without thermal-sensing cameras will not be able to send push notifications based on the standard motion detection system.
