Internet connection is not needed for the following functions:
- Live view of the camera feed via TV and mouse
- Playback/export of recordings via TV and mouse
- Storing/erasing recordings in the DVR's built-in hard drive
- Configuration of camera record settings
- Firmware update via USB for future updates
- Factory reset from the menu
Internet connection is required for the following:
- Firmware update over-the-air
- Remote access via mobile device/computer
- Cloud storage
- Push notifications
- Recovery code via email
- Email Alerts
