Why is my Swann Security app crashing or closing unexpectedly? Follow

Sometimes, there are scenarios where the Swann Security app may crash or close unexpectedly when opening, accessing live view, playing back a clip, accessing the device settings, or pairing a new device.

To troubleshoot, please click on the guide below based on your device type.

Try the following steps on your Android phone.

Important: Some of these steps only work on Android 6.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Close and reopen the app

You can usually force stop an app through your phone’s Settings app. Settings can vary by phone. For more info, contact your device manufacturer. Then open the app to see if it's working as expected.

Tip: To help identify which apps are causing problems, make a list of the apps you force stop.

Restart your device

Hold down the power button for about 30 seconds to restart.

Check for Android updates

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
  3. Tap Manage apps & devices.
  4. Under "Updates available," choose to update all apps or a specific app.

Check & free up memory

You don't usually need to close apps. But if an app isn't responding, you can try to close or force stop the app. Learn how to troubleshoot apps that aren't working.

Delete the app, then download it again

Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it's working as expected.

Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.
