When you try to access the DVR or NVR's Search or Setup Main Menu, you will always be asked to login with the username and password by default. This is for your security.
If you are the only person to access your recorder, you can safely disable the Menu Timeout option to avoid being asked for the password.
- Go to Setup > Main Menu.
- Login first.
- Go to System (left) > General (tab).
- Click to show the dropdown beside Menu Timeouts.
- Select OFF.
- Click on Apply to save.
- You will be able to access Search or Setup without having to enter a password.
Note: If the Menu Timeouts function is OFF, click on Lock Screen to prevent access while you are away:
Click on Unlock to enter the password once again to access the Main Menu.
