This question is often asked by customers who are trying to add or pair a Swann Security system in the Swann Security or HomeSafe View apps/software.

The default media or client port for recorders with firmware version 7 and 8 is 9000.

If you changed the Network settings of the recorder, you need to check whether the port number is the same:

If your recorder has firmware version 7, go to Menu > Network > Network > Client port.
If your recorder has firmware version 8: Go to Port number – go to Menu > Network (side) > Port Configuration (tab) > Internal/External port. See example below.
