This guide is applicable to all SwannCloud users (new purchase, cameras that went offline, or existing users but deleted the camera before and wasn't able to add it again). Once you finished following the steps below and you don't have the camera yet on your account, then do the first time setup indicated on the SwannCloud App manual. You can download it here.
It is best to have the camera wired to the router (use Ethernet cable) to avoid loss of connection while doing the update. You also need to grab a computer (Windows or Mac) and ensure that it is connected to the same router.
Downloading SwannView Plus
Download SwannView Plus from the link below. We need this software to add the camera and do the firmware update.
Downloading the Firmware
- Click the model number below that matches your camera's to download the Firmware. Save it to your Desktop for easy access.
Adding the camera on SwannView Plus
Applying the Firmware
- Click on Upgrade. A progress bar will start to load, just wait for it to finish.
That's it! The camera will be back online and you can start viewing it remotely again.
In case the camera is still offline on your account, try rebooting your router and the camera again. As mentioned above, if you don't have the camera added yet to your account, then do the first time setup indicated on the SwannCloud App manual. You can download it here.
