How to use Overscan? Follow
NOTE: This guide is mainly for recorders with similar Menu Bar interface (see image below):
Blind Access the Menu
- Access then Menu - If you can't see the icons below when you right-click, follow the steps accordingly AND carefully:
- Right-click to pull up the Menu bar.
- Drag the mouse pointer to the bottom-left most corner (even if you can't see it).
- Move the mouse very slightly upward then to the right (for the arrow to be placed correctly on the Menu icon).
- Left-click to select.
- Once the Menu box showed up, click on Setup. Login if necessary
Change Overscan
Overscan: Auto
- Go to Display > Display Configuration.
- Set Enable Overscan to AUTO.
- Click on Apply to save the settings.
- If you are now able to see the entire screen, end of troubleshooting.
- If there are still some cut edges, proceed to the next step.
Overscan: Manual
- Set Enable Overscan to Manual.
- Click on Setup beside it.
- Adjust the following depending on the issue:
- Scale – adjusts the size of the red box (if you cannot see the red lines on all sides, scale down.
- X Offset – adjusts the position of the red box horizontally(50% places it at the center):
- Lower number, box goes to the left
- Higher number, box goes to the right
- Y Offset – adjusts the position of the red box vertically(50% places it at the center):
- Lower number, box goes to the top
- Higher number, box goes to the bottom
- Scale – adjusts the size of the red box (if you cannot see the red lines on all sides, scale down.
- Right-click to go back.
- Click Apply to save the settings.
