Mount NVR on its side

I would like to know if the NVR-8980 can still operate normally if I mounted it on its side. I am thinking about putting the NVR in a cabinet so that its not exposed but it will only fit in the cabinet if I put it on its side.

  Shouldn't be an issue. Maybe more heat if cabinet doesn't have any ventilation. Also Make sure any vent holes aren't blocked. Hard drive can work in any postion.

  Thank you for answering my question James. I already mounted the NVR with no issues so far. I leave the cabinet door 1/2 open for ventilation.

  I know it's NOT a good idea, but I have had my NVR in a cupboard in my conservatory for years with minus temps and above 40 degrees. Been in there for years with no issues.
