NVR16-8580 stopped working for the third time in 3 years.  Power adapter was cold, 2 month old WD Purple 2TB drive has 6gb usable after formatting.  I am extremely frustrated with this system.  Never in my 40+ computing years have I lost a hard drive.  Might it be a bad power adapter?  I am at a loss after spending lots of $ on this system.

On another note, would the cameras work with another brand?  I'm wondering if I just need to take a hit and switch brands.  Thanks for your help and advise
