No Signal on LG Monitor

I have a DVR8-4580V system and I have no signal on my monitor, I have changed monitors and also used my camera monitor on my laptop and it recieves the laptop signal.

I have changed cables and reset the monitor, however still nothing. Could their be something amiss with the DVR

Any suggestions, this is the second DVR I have had to buy

  I had this problem when trying to connect with vga cable to DVR, changed connection to hdmi cable and works fine..

  HAve changed all the cables HDMI and also tried a new VGA cable, still nothing,
