My experience with Swann Support
So I have a swann UNIT, its just under 1 year old. The device will not pair, and will not respond to the web interface. I confirmed I had an IP Address, I confirmed that I could see what ports were open on the device and that traffic was hitting the network card on the DVR.
When I contacted support, it was a miserable experience. In fact the engineer who was speaking to me, started yelling at me telling me the device did not have an ip address. I went as far to tell him. I ran an NMAP against the device, I could tell him the IP address, I see it in my router, I see the ports opened. His response was "Are you done?" Your unit is offline.
I asked for his name, he said his name was "Dexter' and Engineer ID was 1234.
So now I have a bricked unit, terrible support. Out the money for the unit, out the money for pulling the camera lines.
Just miserable experience.
