Swann DVR8-4680RN password reset using a MacBook Air
I bought a Swann DVR8-4680RN a while ago and it worked fine and recorded activity outside my home. OK. I paired it to my Apple iphone and everything worked OK. However the DVR damaged in some home renovations and I had to buy a new one. I plugged the new one in and it works fine, I have it connected to monitor and have excellent vision of the outside of my home. However I need to activate the DVR so I can record activity. I have registered with Swann and have a password for that and I have set up the Swann App and have a password for that but the problem is that when I try to pair the new DVR with my phone I go to a screen on the monitor which indicates the defaut user name is "admin" and asks me for the password. The brochure which came with the DVR says: "Enter the password created during the Start up Wizard on your DVR". I cannot remember the password and need to reset it. I have gone to http://support.swann.com to search for the Homesafe password reset software but I can only find software for Windows not Mac. Where can I find the reset password software to enable me to reset the password using my MacBook Air laptop?

I am having a similar experience. I have tried for three weekends now to get my new DVR set up. The unit never connected with my WiFi, so I couldn't send an email to change the password. I already have one question into support but have not heard anything back. This is bad customer service. We need a solution.
