Support for USB Keyboard for NVR-8580

Hi, I don't understand the limitation of only having support for a USB Mouse on the NVR-8580.

The cumbersome nature of the UI in terms of becoming locked, the lack of security inherent with manually moving a mouse cursor around to enter a password and the inconvenience of using a strong password with this input method makes this entire aspect of the device incredibly frustrating.

I have resorted to a simple password to minimise the effort required to use the device.

I have a Microsoft Keyboard & Trackpad combo device which is connected via wireless dongle to the NVR USB connection on the back panel, and the trackpad works perfectly as a mouse.
Why can this not be expanded to support the USB keyboard function too?

What is the reasoning for this limitation?
Can USB keyboard device support be implemented?
