Hello,

I have an NVR-8580 system hooked up to a Windows 10 PC running Swann Video Management Software. The VMS manages video recordings, and was set to record continuously. The computer's hard drive became full partway through one recording session, and this stopped the recording (the system was configured to do so in case of full drive).

The resulting .mp4 files are not playable, in VLC or any other player I've tried. As if the system didn't properly "close" the file as it usually does.

Is there any way to recover these file contents and make them playable?
