Recorders
NOTE: If the recorder is already paired to the Swann Security app but you need the UID for computer access using Swann Security for PC or Mac, you can get the UID by going to Devices, choosing your recorder, then proceeding to About Device and looking for the Device P2P identifier.

- On the recorder unit (some won't show the UID; just the QR code)
- DVR/NVR: on top

Standalone Cameras
The QR codes are placed on the base or the back of the camera. It is advisable to pair the camera before mounting or take a picture of the device ID at the back for manual pairing before the camera is mounted.
