It is BEST to use alphanumeric characters for the SSID of your Wi-Fi router to avoid any conflict during the setup of your Wi-Fi cameras.
However, in some cases, the following characters seem to be accepted on either the SSID or Wi-Fi Password of a router or modem:
- Letters (uppercase or lowercase - ABCDEFG...)
- Numbers (1234567890)
- Period or dot ( . )
- Dash or hyphen ( - )
- Underscore ( _ )
- Space ( ) -confirmed working on SS IP Cameras
Other types of characters not mentioned above might not work with our cameras for pairing.
Also, it is safe to say that an SSID with more than 32 characters might NOT also work. Make sure to change it accordingly to make it work with our units. If you do not know how to change the SSID, please contact the manufacturer of your router or your Internet Service Provider.
