It is recommended to use alphanumeric characters for the SSID or Password of your Wi-Fi router to avoid any conflict during the setup of your Wi-Fi cameras.
However, in some cases, the characters below were tested working on either the SSID or Wi-Fi Password of a router or modem:
- Letters (uppercase or lowercase - ABCDEFG...)
- Numbers (1234567890)
- Period or dot ( . )
- Dash or hyphen ( - )
- Underscore ( _ )
- Space ( )
Other types of characters may or may not work with our cameras for pairing.
Also, it is safe to say that an SSID with more than 32 characters may or may not work. Make sure to change it accordingly to make it work with our units. If you do not know how to change the SSID, please contact the manufacturer of your router or your Internet Service Provider.
