Recover your Recorder's "Admin" password using the Swann Security app

If you forgot your recorder's password and can't access the Menu, but you already have paired it to your Swann Security app, can still log in to the app, and see the cameras live feed, you can still get your recorder's password from there.
Make sure to use the latest version of the Swann Security app. Check the App store or Play Store on your phone for the latest Swann Security app.

Swann Security iOS App
1. From the app, tap the Device Settings tab > Select your DVR/NVR.
2. Tap the Password field. This will trigger a security challenge on your phone
3. Depending on the type of screen lock you have set on your phone, you'll be prompted to use your phone's biometrics (fingerprint, etc) or enter your Swann Security account password for authentication. This is to make sure that it is actually you who is wanting to view the stored password.
4. Your DVR/NVR password is revealed in the Password field.

2. Tap the icon in the Password field. This will trigger a security challenge on your phone.
3. Depending on the type of screen lock you have set on your phone, you'll be prompted to enter the pin, pattern or password. This is to make sure that it is actually you who is wanting to view the stored password.
NOTE: If your phone does not have a screen lock set up, you'll be prompted to enter your Swann Security account password instead.
4. Your DVR/NVR password is revealed in the Password field.

NOTE: If you are no longer able to remotely access the system via the Swann Security app, you may have to reset the password of your Swann DVR or NVR system.
