Configure Email Alert with SwannView Link software

Things to Have:	Things to Do:
Video recorder hard wired to router. Windows or Macintosh computer.	Configure Email Alert settings. Configure Motion settings.

Configure Email Settings

1. Right click on video recorder under the device list.
2. Choose Remote Configuration from drop down menu.
   
   

3. Find Network and choose Advanced.
   

4. Find E-mail and click Setup button beside it.
   

5. Complete required information.
   a. Enable - SSL or TLS
   b. SMTP Server
   c. SMTP Port
   d. Sender Address
   e. Password
   f. Recipient Address 1(use Recipient Address 2 and 3 if you need more)
   g. Choose – Attach Picture
   h. Interval 5 Minutes

6. Click OK to save information.
7. Click E-mail Test to send test email.
   a. If test succeeds, proceed to Motion settings.
   b. If test fails, send instructions through email to activate Less Secure Apps and please proceed to Motion Settings.
          i.Gmail Desk Quickcode – GMAILSETTINGS
          ii.Yahoo Desk Quickcode - YAHOOSETTINGS
   

Configure Motion Settings

1. On the main menu, find Alarm and choose Motion.
2. Choose a specific Channel.
3. Checkbox beside Enable should be ticked.
4. Configure the following settings:
   • Find Sensitivity and click Setup.
   • Find Schedule and click Setup.
   • Find Action and click Setup.
   • Find Motion Detect and click Setup.
5. Click on OK once done.

Sensitivity

1. Let the customer adjust the sensitivity on a specified time if they like.
   Lower numbers – more sensitive.
   Higher numbers – less sensitive.
2. Click on OK once done.

Schedule

1. Let the customer set a schedule they like. This schedule won’t affect the recording schedule, just the email alerts.
    - Red box – enabled / will detect movement on
   that certain hour.
    - White box – disabled / will not detect movement on that certain hour.
2. Click on OK once done.

Action

1. Make sure Send Email box is ticked.
2. Click on OK once done.

Motion Detect

1. Let the customer choose an area they want the recorder to detect motions form.
   - With boxes – selected area.
   - Without boxes – unselected area.
2. Click on OK once done.

1. Repeat the steps starting here or click on Copy To.
   a. Clicking Copy To will open this window.
   b. Tick the boxes you want the settings to be copied to or choose All at the lower left if you want all channels.
   c. Click on OK once done.
2. You will be back on Alarm settings, click on OK again to save everything.
