Is your camera online or offline?
Your camera is still online but you want to connect your device to a different Wi-Fi
- Open the Swann Security app.
- Go to Devices (bottom right) > Select the Device on the list to update > Wi-Fi. The Change Network window will popup. Tap PAIR.
- Continue following the instructions shown in the app.
TIP: If the camera stays offline, follow the instructions in the 'Offline' tab above.
You changed or got a new router or can no longer connect to the Wi-Fi associated with your device
If you changed your router, Internet Service Provider, or Wi-Fi credentials of your router, or the camera went offline for some reason, then the camera will have a red blinking LED status as it will try to find the old Wi-Fi access point. Please follow the steps below to re-pair your device to the Swann Security App.
- Do not unpair/remove the device from your Swann Security account. Deleting the device on your app is not necessary. The device info will be updated after the re-pairing process (next step).
- Set the camera to pairing mode, then tap on Pair Device in the Swann Security app. Scan the QR code or choose Manual Pair to enter the device ID.
- Enter the new Wi-Fi credentials (SSID name and password) as usual. See How to Pair Your Stand-alone Camera Using the Swann Security App?
