For Recorders and Wifi-based standalone (that have no subscription)
Swann Technical Support has no means of retrieving nor recovering recordings from your hard drive, internal storage or from the Swann Security cloud (for unsubscribed SWIFI cameras), especially:
- If an event was not recorded.
- If the event was recorded over by a newer one due to limited storage capacity.
- If the internal storage, micro SD card, or hard drive was formatted.
- If the SWIFI camera was unpaired.
Any recordings are usually stored locally in your micro-SD card or hard drive for most units. You may get in touch with a hard disk recovery specialist near you to inquire if it is possible to recover what was deleted from the card or drive; however, this is at your discretion as this kind of service has no affiliation with Swann Communications.
For WiFi-based standalone cameras with subscription
Standard cloud (per device) can still be recovered up to 60 days for each device with a Secure+ subscription regardless the state of the internal storage/micro SD card. Recorded events are securely saved on the cloud for 60 days for you to review or save separately when needed. This applies to recordings saved to the cloud after the date of subscription and while the SWIFI camera is still paired with an active subscription.
If an event was not recorded at all, there is no chance for recovering such an event as a recording locally nor via the cloud.
