Which Swann System Supports Swann Security Cloud Storage
Not all Swann recorder or standalone camera can upload clips to Swann Security Cloud Storage. To use cloud storage successfully, your device must meet certain requirements to upload clips to the cloud.
This is important for users who want secure off-site backup recording, easier event playback, and cloud access through a Secure+ Unlimited plan.
Cloud clips from recorders will only appear in Playback tab when the recorder is offline.
When online, the clips you'll see in Playback are from its local storage.Cloud clips from standalone cameras will automatically be shown in Playback. It may take some time to complete the upload depending on its internet connection, while local clips (for cameras using microSD card) can be seen in its settings > Local Clips

Requirements for Cloud Storage
To upload recordings to Swann Security Cloud Storage, your device must meet the requirements below:
For recorders
- Has local storage (microSD or hard drive) - It doesn't record straight to the cloud; recordings in local storage gets uploaded to the cloud.
- Compatible with the Swann Security app and must be paired to a Swann Security account
- Swann Security account must have a Secure+ Unlimited plan (or Pro or Pro Video plan for US accounts)
- Running Agent version 4.2 or above
- Using a supported detection mode that can identify a person or vehicle
For standalone cameras
- Compatible with the Swann Security app and must be paired to a Swann Security account
- The camera is NOT the Tracker Security Camera (SWIFI-TRACKCM) – this unit only records locally via microSD card
- For cameras that need microSD card to record (check the camera specs), make sure that the microSD card is inserted
- Swann Security Account Plan
- For Swann EVO cameras, Swann Security account must have a Secure+ Unlimited plan (or Pro or Pro Video plan for US accounts)
- For other models, subscribing will give you up to 60 days cloud storage; otherwise, you can be on a Free plan and get 1 or 7 days cloud storage depending on your camera model.

Which Swann System Can Upload to Cloud Storage?
NVRs (8580, 8600, 8780) System
Short answer: Supports Advanced Analytics: Human & Vehicle detection uploads.
To configure:
- Go to Analytics > Advanced Analytics
- Select Human & Vehicle Detection tab
- Set Mode to
HD&VD+PIR
There are three additional things to consider for this to work:
- Check the camera model if it supports Advanced Analytics: Human & Vehicle Detection
- The camera must be compatible with the recorder
- When human & vehicle detection is enabled on the camera, the other advanced analytics will be disabled, and vice-versa. It’s not possible to activate multiple functions on the camera at the same time.
AllSecure System (NVW-650 or NVW-800 Kit)
Short answer: NVW-600CMB or NVW-AS4KCAM with PIR and Person detection enabled.
To allow uploads:
- Go to Alarm > Detection
- Set Mode to
PIR and Person
Only clips triggered by supported detections can upload to cloud storage.
