Whether you can adjust your Swann camera's microphone or speaker volume depends on the camera system and the features supported by your model. Some systems let you adjust both microphone and speaker volume, while others have limited or no volume controls.

How to Adjust the Camera Volume using Swann Security App

How to Adjust the Camera Volume from the Recorder's Menu
This applies to EliteX™ system only.
If the recorder is not paired to Swann Security, you can access the volume controls by following these steps:
- Go to Configuration > Record > Streaming Settings
- Select the Audio tab.
- Choose a Channel you want to configure
- Make sure Enable is toggled on
- Adjust the volume to your preferred level.
- Click to save any changes.
Why Are Microphone and Speaker Volume Separate?
The microphone volume controls how strongly the camera picks up audio, while the speaker volume controls how loudly the camera plays audio through its speaker.
Depending on the camera, these settings can affect features such as:
- Two-way audio
- Live-view audio
- Camera siren loudness
- Sound Detection on supported models
Not every camera supports all of these features, so the available controls can vary by model.

Why don't I see a microphone or speaker volume setting?
Volume controls are not available on every Swann camera or system. Check the table above and make sure you are using the latest version of the Swann Security app.
Can I adjust the microphone volume on a MaxRanger4K™ camera?
No. MaxRanger4K™ Base Station currently provides a speaker volume control only. The Power Hub does not provide adjustable camera volume.
Can I adjust the siren volume separately?
The speaker and siren share the same audio output, changing the speaker volume also changes the siren loudness.
Why can't I adjust EliteX™ volume on my Android phone?
The microphone and speaker volume controls are currently available for EliteX™ in the Android Swann Security app. If you do not see the controls, make sure your app and recorder firmware are up to date and that your camera supports the relevant audio feature.
