Whether you can adjust the volume of a MaxRanger4K™ camera depends on which system you have. The MaxRanger4K™ Power Hub does not support camera volume adjustments, while the MaxRanger4K™ Base Station allows you to adjust the speaker volume using the Swann Security app on iOS.
Android support for this feature is coming soon.

Identify what MaxRanger4K™ recorder you have
- MaxRanger4K™ Power Hub (NVW-MR4K): Camera speaker volume cannot be adjusted.
- MaxRanger4K™ Base Station (NVW-MR4KSTN): Camera speaker volume can be adjusted through the Swann Security app on iOS.
- The Base Station volume setting controls the camera speaker, not the microphone volume.
- Adjusting the speaker volume also changes the loudness of the camera's siren.
How to Adjust the Camera Speaker Volume
- Open the Swann Security app.
- Tap , then select your Base Station.
- Tap
- Select a camera you want to configure.
- Tap
- Adjust the volume to your preferred level.
- Tap Back to save your changes.
Important: The speaker volume setting also affects how loud the camera's siren sounds.
The volume adjustment feature is currently available on iOS. Support for Android is coming soon.
Why Does This Matter?
If your MaxRanger4K™ camera sounds too loud or too quiet, first check which type of MaxRanger4K™ system you have. Only the Base Station can control the camera's volume.
