Modes are like custom presets that let you decide how your system behaves depending on your needs. Whether you're at home, out for the day, or sleeping at night, setting up Modes allows you to enable or disable specific notifications and even automate these changes based on a schedule. Here’s how to make the most of this feature in your security app.
Understanding Modes
Modes are pre-set configurations for your security system. Common Modes include:
- Home Mode: Ideal for when you’re at home but still want a layer of security. For most users, the sensitivity on Indoor cameras is set to a lower setting, or even turning it off while also disabling notifications.
- Night Mode: Designed for bedtime, with settings tailored for nighttime use. Notifications are usually enabled so you'll get alerted.
- Away Mode: Perfect for when you’re out and want full coverage. Notifications are on and all cameras are set to record, for most people.
Each Mode can control notifications and, on some systems, even adjust motion sensitivity levels. No Mode is better than the other as it is just a matter of configuring your preferred settings on each.

- Indoor siren: This only appears if you have a paired Indoor Siren (SWIFI-ISIREN) on your account.
NOTE: If you are looking for a way to schedule your Deterrent Features on your recorder (lights, siren, and Enforcer/SwannForce™), you have to do it on the recorder by accessing its settings using a mouse and monitor. You can visit How to Set Up the Deterrent Feature on Your Recorder to learn how.
As for stand-alone camera's lights and siren, Modes only supports the settings mentioned above. Lights and Siren can be turned on or off in each camera's settings.
