The red lock appears when your recorder exceeds its playback capacity. This limit depends on whether you're viewing Mainstream (high-resolution) or Substream (lower-resolution) recordings and the type of recorder (DVR, NVR, or NVW) you have.
That said, de-select a channel so you can choose another one. In the example below, if you are trying to play back multiple channels in Mainstream, it can only show up to 4 channels.
To maximize the number of channels your recorder can play simultaneously, set the Stream Type to Substream.
- Mainstream: Can handle fewer channels and play in higher quality.
- Substream: Allows more channels to play at the same time in lower quality.
