How to Use Yahoo as the Sender of Email Alerts on a Recorder

App password is used to let your recorder use your Yahoo as the sender of alerts, instead of entering your main password.

How to create an App password?
- Go to https://login.yahoo.com/account/security then scroll down until you see App Password. Click on 'Generate app password'

- Click Get Started if this prompt appears.
- To set an App Password, enter an app name like 'Swann'.
- Click Generate password once done.
- A Generated app password window will appear. Copy and store the password somewhere safe before clicking 'Done'.
- Use this password on your recorder's email settings.
NOTE: Once you close the window that has the password, you need to create a new one in case you forget it.
Don't forget to use the following for the SMTP settings on your recorder's email alert setup:
