How to get the MAC address of a recorder using an Apple MacOS computer?

In this article, using a Mac computer (especially those running Mac OS Catalina), we will teach you how to get the MAC address of your recorder which will be used to reset the password.
Before you start, make sure to prepare the following:
- The recorder must be connected to a modem or router via Ethernet cable.
- Your computer must be connected to the same modem or router; preferably via Ethernet cable too.
- The recorder must have a monitor and a mouse connected as you will need to type the MAC address on the unit itself.
Once everything is ready, then open your App Store and search for any IP Scanner that can give you other device's MAC Address. We used this IP scanner as an example:
Install the app and run it. In this example, once you scan for devices, the result should look like the images below.
Look for the device that has the MAC address starting with BC:51:FE or EC:51:71

NVR8-7400
