How to Reset an NHD Camera
Resetting an NHD camera can fix issues about the camera—such as grainy image, discolored preview, or static and fuzzy lines. Choose the model of your camera below to learn how to reset the camera.

Swann Security NHD cameras don't have a physical reset button, and can only be reset when connected to a compatible NVR. Here's how:
- Go to Menu > Advanced > Maintain
- Click
- Select (tick the box) the channel you wanted to reset
- Click

The reset button is located at the end of the camera cable, where the power and LAN connectors are also located.
Steps to reset the camera:
- Turn off the camera by disconnecting the camera from the NVR (if it is a PoE camera) or disconnect it from the power adapter (for non-PoE camera).
- Press and hold the reset button
- While holding down the reset button, turn on the camera again (connect to the NVR or its power adapter) and continue holding down the reset for 30 seconds, then release

Steps to reset the camera:
- Reboot/power cycle the camera by disconnecting the power source (Ethernet for PoE and power adapter for non-PoE) and then plugging it back.
- Within 10 seconds of powering up the camera, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

Steps to reset the camera:
- Unscrew and remove the camera's dome cover.
- Disconnect and reconnect power (Ethernet cable from NVR or PoE switch to the camera), then press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
