DISCLAIMER: Features of the SWIFI-BUDDY unit shown in this video may or may not be available to other Swann Security device. The purpose of the video is to get familiar on how can you set up your device and app navigation.

Swann Security app, available on both Android and iOS devices, is used to pair many of Swann's new products like the Wi-Fi Floodlight Security Camera, Spotlight Outdoor Security Camera, or even our upcoming products such as Wire-Free Security Camera and Pan & Tilt Security Camera. The same app is used on our existing recorders such as NVR-8580 and DVR-5580 to be accessed remotely once the network connection is settled on the unit.

However, there are minor differences since they are still two completely different products. That being said, this article will focus on guiding you on how to pair your Swann compatible IP Camera.

• NOTE: The camera used on this guide is a SWIFI-PTCAM2. Other compatible cameras will have a similar setup.

Before we start, you need to make sure that you not only download the app, but also register an account. Also, for faster setup, connect your phone to the WiFi where you wish to setup the camera to.

	Tap Menu (upper left) then select Pair Device. Tap Start.
	Scan the QR code sticker attached to your camera. (If you don't have its QR code, tap Manual Pair and get the MAC Address above the Serial number then click HERE)   Tap Start again and select which store you purchased your unit to proceed
	Once you reach this, enter the WiFi password then tap Next.
	Enter your desired camera name. Tap Next.
	Tap Next when it is in Pairing Mode.   If not, the instruction on how to set it to Pairing mode, if it isn't yet, will be shown by tapping the 'Here' label in the app.
	Your phone will now connect to the camera's WIFI. Tap Start to proceed.
	While finishing the setup, an overview of what you can do in the app will appear Once done, tap Next.
	You will get this message once setup is complete. You may now enjoy viewing your camera even when you are away.

To Manually add your device instead of scanning a QR code, choose your device from the list shown on the app.

Enter its MAC Address (e.g. 74ee2abbcc33) located at the sticker, above the serial number. Tap on Next then Start.
Click HERE to continue the setup.
