DVRx-2550 / DVRx-2600 - Unable to access the menu

The DVR has 2 video outputs - VGA output and the BNC (Composite) output - but the OSD Menu will only show up on one of them. If you do not see the Menu screen or the mouse cursor, then the DVR is set to show the Menu OSD on the other video output (which you can't see!).

To show the Menu OSD on the desired video output, do the following:

 

4 channel and 8 channel recorders

1. Power off the recorder for 5 seconds and then turn it back on.
2. On the front panel of the DVR (if applicable), press and hold down the REWIND button until you hear a beep. Release after you hear the beep.

 

3. Or, using the remote control that came with it, press and hold the "0" button and you should hear a beep. Release after you hear the beep.

 

16 channel recorders

1. Power off the recorder for 5 seconds and then turn it back on.
2. Press and hold down the SEL button until the unit makes a beep noise. Release the button after the beep.
