My DVRx-1500 D1 is making this beeping noise and I don't know how to stop it
To (temporarily) stop the DVR beeping, start by using the mouse and right-clicking on the screen to show the Menu options window. There, select the Stop Beep option.
However, do not ignore the beeping noise that was coming from your DVR after turning it off. The beeping noise is telling you that the DVR has detected a problem somewhere in its setup. Please try to remember the last thing you changed on the DVR's settings and try reversing it.
There is a possibility that you have changed the CVBS Output Standard on the DVR's Configuration page that is not correct for your location (and therefore cameras).
For USA and Canada customers, make sure that the CVBS Output Standard is set to NTSC. The cameras that we sell there are preset to use NTSC signals so make sure that the DVR system is set to NTSC as well.
For UK and Australian customers, the CVBS Output Standard should be set on PAL. The cameras that we sell there are pre-set to use PAL signals and so the DVR should be on the PAL setting as well.
If the camera/s and the DVR are not using the same output standard, it will cause the DVR to make an alarm or beeping noise. This is handled by the"Input/Output Video Standard Mismatch" error type. This is located in the Exceptions menu screen under Configuration.
You can turn off the alarm for this error type by simply unchecking the Audible Warning option. Then, hit the Apply button.
It is also possible to turn this off as well remotely using the Swannview Plus software.
Select the DVR and click on Remote Configuration.
Go to the Exception section and next to Exception Type, select Video Standard Mismatch.
Uncheck the Audible Warning option and hit the Save button.
