How to Change the Password of the Recorder

Before you begin, please make sure to have the model number of your recorder. If not, check Quick Guide: Where to get the model number of a Swann product first to get the model number.

You also need a monitor and a mouse connected to the recorder to navigate through the menu.

  1. Access the User Settings: First, open the main menu and go to System > Users.
  2. Select the Account to Edit: Find the account you’d like to update and click the Edit icon next to it.
  3. Enter the New Password: In the password fields, enter your desired new password. Then, click OK to proceed.
  4. Confirm with the Current Password: A prompt will ask you to enter your current password. Once entered, click OK to confirm and save the changes.

HomeSafe View Recorders
