Email Delivery to Some Providers May Be Blocked
Calculating...
Last updated:
Some email providers use very strict spam‑filtering and security systems. From time to time, these systems may block legitimate emails from trusted senders — even when nothing has changed on our side.
Recent examples
We have observed instances where:
- Apple iCloud and BtInternet have blocked emails sent from the Swann Security app server
@swannsecurity.com - BigPond / Telstra has recently blocked emails sent from our Support team
@swanntechsupport.zendesk.com
These blocks are applied by the receiving email provider, not by Swann, and can affect notifications such as support replies, case updates, or automated communications.
Why does this happen?
Email providers continuously update their spam‑detection rules. Legitimate emails can be blocked due to factors such as:
- Changes to the provider’s internal spam policies
- Sender reputation scoring on shared infrastructure
- Volume spikes or automated email patterns
- Domain or IP reputation changes outside of Swann’s control
Even fully authenticated email (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) can still be blocked by provider‑specific filtering rules.
What Swann is doing
Our internal teams are actively reaching out to the respective email providers to request review and removal of these blocks.
Please note:
- Postmaster and abuse teams often take days to weeks to respond
- Incomplete or insufficient requests are commonly dropped entirely
- These processes are owned and controlled by the receiving email provider
We submit detailed, complete requests to improve the likelihood of resolution, but response times are determined by the email provider.
What you can do in the meantime
To avoid missing important communications, we recommend the following workarounds:
- ✅ Use a Gmail address (Gmail has proven to be the most reliable for receiving Swann communications)
- Check your Spam / Junk folders regularly
- Add Swann sender domains to your contacts or Safe Senders list:
@swannsecurity.com@swanntechsupport.zendesk.com
- If possible, update your Swann account or support ticket with an alternate email address
We appreciate your patience while we work with these providers to restore normal email delivery. Thank you for your understanding.
