IFTTT on Swann Security

IFTTT is a third-party web-based service that allows users to create simple automation between different apps, devices, and services. 

With IFTTT, compatible Swann Security devices act as the trigger and not as the action. E.g. If the Swann Security cameras detect motion, IFTTT can enable a lamp, alarm, or other IFTTT device to turn on. However, third party devices like smart motion sensors and smart lamps cannot trigger Swann Security cameras to record.

Recent update regarding the Swann Security integration with IFTTT

As of 5 May 2025, the Swann Security service remains available on IFTTT for existing compatible integrations; however, Swann is no longer updating devices or adding support for new integrations with the IFTTT platform.

The primary functionality for current Swann Security devices continues to be supported through the Swann Security mobile app, which provides access to core features, notifications, live viewing, recordings, and device management.

Please note:

• Existing IFTTT applets may continue to operate where supported by IFTTT and previous devices.
• New Swann Security devices may not be eligible for IFTTT integration.
• Swann does not provide support, troubleshooting, or development assistance for IFTTT integrations.
• No further enhancements or improvements to the Swann Security IFTTT service are currently planned.
