How to Configure Audio Settings for PRO Cameras with Microphone

NOTE: MQB cameras or cameras that runs audio through BNC or video cable are only compatible on certain models. Please check the model number of your recorder in this article: PRO cameras with built-in microphones: Which DVR is compatible?
Not hearing any sounds? You might not have set the correct Audio Input Type on your recorder.
From the DVR's Menu, go to System > General then change Audio Input Type to Coaxial Audio.
Once done, go to Record > Mainstream or Substream then check the boxes under Audio column to head the audio. Keep in mind which channel the camera is connected.
NOTE: If you have a 4ch DVR, you will have 4 checkboxes under Audio column that you can enable assigned to channels 1 to 4.
If you have an 8ch DVR, then you will get 8 checkboxes.
