The PRO-1080MQB and PRO-4KMQB cameras work with the model numbers below but NOT other variant models of DVRx-4680 or DVRx-5680.:

• DVRx-4580RN or DVRx-4680RN (for PRO-1080MQB) and
• DVRx-5580RN or DVRx-5680RN (for PRO-4KMQB)

Like many other companies that are affected by the Global electronics chipset shortage, Swann have had to to use different chipsets to continue the 4680/5680 series while keeping the same core features and overall performance as the previous chipsets. As alternative chips have become available Swann have taken advantage of any newer technology these chips support including the ability to decode AOC (Audio over Coax). The decoding of this special audio stream is only supported by the updated chipset used in the "RN" models as noted above.

Note: When the MQB cameras are sold and ship in a DVR kit they are already paired with a compatible RN DVR model.

PLANNING TO BUY A PRO-1080MQB or PRO-4KMQB?

If you are planning to buy a PRO-1080MQB or PRO-4KMQB additional camera, first check the exact model number of your recorder. There are 2 ways to do that as shown in the following information:

STICKER

Check the sticker underneath the recorder and you should find your model number. The compatible DVRs as stated above are 4680RN and 5680RN. The sample sticker below is a DVR8-5680RN.

SYSTEM INFO

Access the Menu then go to System > Information and look for Device Type. The compatible DVR as stated above are 4680RN and 5680RN. The sample sticker below is a DVR8-5680RN
