Recorders (NVR, DVR, NVW) PWR, HDD, and Network LED Status (V7 and V8 units only) Follow
The LED lights on the front or top panel of your NVR, DVR, and NVW indicates the following:
LED | Status | Description | |

PWR Led is Off or Flashing
|
This means that there is no power supplied to it or the recorder may not be receiving sufficient power from the power adapter (PSU) or power outlet or. Please see Boot Failure or Rebooting DVR – Swann to troubleshoot Power issues. |

PWR Led is solid GREEN or On |
This means that the recorder is receiving power from the Power Adapter (PSU). Note: For DVRs, this may not determine if the power is sufficient. Please refer to your device manual for the correct power rating. |

HDD Led is On Note:This can be red or blue depending on the model of the recorder. |
A solid HDD light means the HDD is detected with no activity. |

HDD Led is flashing |
The recorder is being accessed or currently recording an event. |
|
|
HDD Led is Off |
The recorder has not detected a Hard Drive (HDD). |
|
|
Network Led is On Note:This is the last LED on the front of the recorder and always red. |
The wireless recorder is connected to your home network either wired (ethernet or Lan cable) or via Wi-Fi. Note: This applies to NVW-800 and AllSecure650 units only. |

Network Led is Off |
The wireless recorder is NOT connected to your home network either wired (ethernet or Lan cable) or via Wi-Fi. Please check this article to understand what connection is required to get the recorder online. |
