Error code 2026 appears when you tried to pair a device, but the following are the most likely causes:

1. DVR or NVR is not getting Internet connection
   • Resolution: Please ensure the DVR or NVR's Network setting is set to DHCP (see What do I need for my DVR/NVR to go online?) and try all steps in Remote Access - Basic Troubleshooting
     
     
     
2. You have already paired the device to the same Swann Security account.
   • Resolution: Please log out of the app and then log in to the same Swann Security account to see the paired device.
3. Incorrect User Name: 
   • The user name is the user of your DVR or NVR that must be set up from a TV or monitor first. Please connect a TV and mouse to your recorder then follow the Wizard Quick Start Guide.

4. Incorrect Password:
   • The password is the password of your DVR or NVR that must be set up from a TV or monitor first. If you do not know the password to enter on the TV, please follow this guide:

5. Incorrect Port number
   • The default port number is 9000. To check if the port number matches the one in the DVR or NVR, please login to the recorder's Main Menu and go to Network > Port configuration. Use the  same Client Internal/External port number as the DVR or NVR.
